Magic Happens has made magic for the last time this year along the parade route at Disneyland. The energetic parade was presented for the final time on Thursday evening. This came ahead of the arrival of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort on Friday.
Daps Magic team member Angela was on hand to film the final offering of Magic Happens. Watch it here:
Magic Happens first debuted at the Disneyland Resort in the spring of 2020. Its run was cut short after just a few short weeks after the pandemic caused the Disneyland Resort and other theme parks to shut their gates. The parade didn’t return to Disneyland for another couple of years. When it did return in 2023, Disneyland fans were ecstatic. The parade ran through the spring and summer in 2023 before saying goodbye. It returned again earlier this year and now ends its run for the foreseeable future.
It isn’t known at this time if this parade will be returning or if there will be something different will be coming in 2025. With Disneyland celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2025, it is possible that a something else could be announced. Daps Magic will continue to monitor any announcements and share any news about either the return of Magic Happens or a new parade as that news becomes official.
The parade begins with Mickey Mouse, who appears on the first float and introduces the Magic Happens theme song. Following him are various floats featuring classic Disney characters, including Moana, Coco, and Sleeping Beauty. The floats are accompanied by dancers in matching costumes, who perform choreographed routines to upbeat music.
One of the highlights of the parade is the Frozen 2 unit, which features Anna, Elsa, and Olaf riding on a beautiful icy float, complete with snow and ice effects. The Moana float is also a crowd favorite, featuring Moana, Maui, and dancers performing a lively Polynesian-inspired dance routine.
The parade’s grand finale features a stunning unit of fan-favorite characters from Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Aladdin, and Cinderella. Floats showcasing Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog and Merlin and Wart from The Sword in the Stone are always popular. The last float is a beautiful tribute to Sleeping Beauty, with the three fairies, Aurora, and Prince Phillip greeting guests from atop stately, glittering towers. The parade’s message is one of hope, magic, and happiness, and it is a popular attraction for guests of all ages.
