Two new villains made their debut at Disney California Adventure this week at the Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Hades both appeared at the Halloween party in front of the public for the first time on Sunday, August 25, 2024. This marks the first time that either of them have appeared in this form for the party. Hades previously had been at Oogie Boogie Bash but… not like he appeared this year!
Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz hails from Phineas and Ferb where he is a made scientist. His plans are generally foiled by Perry the Platypus. Perry also is the pet of Phineas and Ferb. Co-creator and executive producer Dan Povenmire provides the voice for Dr. Doofenschmirtz in the series. He could be seen in the Disney Theater.
Hades
Hades appeared on the Hollywood Backlot Stage during Oogie Boogie Bash. He was in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules. Originally voiced by James Wood, Hades is the fast-talking god of the underworld in animated musical. When he’d lose his temper his temper would literally flare. For the Halloween party at Disney California Adventure, this also happened. When he would lose his temper, his blue hair and all the flames/light around him turned a fiery red!
The duo’s arrival at Oogie Boogie Bash this year continues a trend of Disney bringing new characters to the Halloween party. Last year, Judge Doom and Yokai were the new villains to join the party. Disney fans will undoubtably be speculating on what new characters or villains will be added to the party next year.
