The walkway between New Orleans Square to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now closed. This temporary closure also sees the closure of Hungry Bear Restaurant and Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes. The Critter Country Fruit Cart also is impacted by this closure.
The area has been blocked off as Critter Country continues to be renovated in anticipation of the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. When it is completed, there will be two new shops that are themed to The Princess and the Frog found in Critter Country. This will be Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club. Ray’s Berets was formerly known as the Briar Patch. Louis’ Critter Club will be inhabiting the left half of Pooh Corner.
On Monday, Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Disneyland to check out what this area now looks like now that it is closed. Below are photos and video from the Mark Twain that show what the area looks like currently.
This area’s closure comes ahead of the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland later this year. This attraction is already open in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. The soundtrack for the attraction is also available.
