On July 17, 2024, the Disneyland Resort will be celebrating the 69th anniversary of Disneyland. On this day in 1955, Walt Disney proclaimed to the world “to all who come to this happy place, welcome!” To celebrate this special day, Disneyland will be once again having a cavalcade. This continues a trend of celebrating Disneyland’s anniversary in recent years with a cavalcade.
The Disneyland’s 69th Birthday Celebration Cavalcade will be offered just once on July 17th at 12:15 PM. This is generally when the Disneyland Band, Dapper Dans, and Mickey Mouse with his friends show up at Sleeping Beauty Castle for the Main Street March Along. For this special day, however, the cavalcade will more than likely run the length of the parade route. If things are like other years, there will be some stops along the way so that Happy Birthday can be sung in a moment of extra celebration. Here is a look at the birthday cavalcade from 2023:
Through the years on some of the bigger anniversaries, the Disneyland Resort has held bigger celebrations on July 17th. Most longtime Disneyland Resort fans remember fondly the 50th Anniversary celebration. More recently, the Disneyland Resort held a big celebration for the 60th as well. It would be unsurprising if there is a big celebration for Disneyland’s 70th next year.
