Super Bowl Champion Jason Kelce might have just retired from the NFL but that doesn’t mean he is done with with the NFL. Jason Kelce has signed with ESPN to as an analyst for Monday Night Countdown. This is the lead-in show to Monday Night Football. For Monday Night Football and ESPN playoff games, Kelce will join Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Clark during halftime.
Kelce is a 13-year NFL veteran and six-time NFL All-Pro will also join the ESPN’s Super Bowl studio coverage each year. This will include Super Bowl LXI in February 2027 in Los Angeles. This will be airing on ESPN and ABC. It was announced that he will also be making other postseason studio appearances on an annual basis, including during the NFL’s Conference Championship Weekend. There are also other opportunities to feature Kelce being explored.

Jason’s addition to Monday Night Countdown will greatly strengthen our NFL coverage.”
Jason Kelce added: “Turns out, it was a short retirement! I’m excited to join ESPN, and particularly the Monday Night Countdown team. ESPN was a consistent presence in our household growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love of all sports. To now appear on that same screen is a full circle moment. And, I mean it’s freaking Monday Night Football! and I’m ready for some football.”
The addition of Kelce to Monday Night Countdown, adds to an already impressive roster. He will be joining Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, Adam Schefter and Michelle Beisner-Buck. The three former players played over 30 seasons in the NFL collectively. This included multiple Super Bowl wins and other honors. Van Pelt was named the host of the Monday Night Football pregame show ahead of the 2023 season. This added to an already impressive career that includes hosting SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt and other signature events like the Masters and PGA Championship.
Adam Schefter will also continue to contribute to the show as the industry’s leading NFL insider. Michelle Beisner-Buck will bring viewers in-depth storytelling with interviews and features.
Jason Kelce played for the Philadelphia Eagles throughout the entirety of his career. This included winning Super Bowl LII, earning first team All Pro six times, and also being named to seven Pro Bowls. He retired from the NFL after the 2024 season. Many consider him one of the best centers to ever play the game. From Ohio, he was drafted in 2011 following his college career at Cincinnati where he transitioned into an offensive lineman. As a Bearcat, he was named second team All-Big East twice. He hosts a podcast called New Heights wish his brother Travis Kelce, another Super Bowl Champion. He will continue to do this.
