Tiana's Bayou Adventure

New Closures and Walkway Modifications Announced As Critter Country Continues to Be Refurbished

There are a lot of changes happening in Disneyland right now, particularly in New Orleans Square and Critter Country. This whole area is preparing for the arrival of Princess Tiana’s new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The Haunted Mansion is also getting a substantial refurbishment and enhancement of its queue. Earlier this month, Critter Country closed to help make way for the new attraction and new stores themed to The Princess and the Frog. Soon, there will be some more changes and closures happening in the area. The Disneyland website provided the following details about all of the changes that will be coming in the near future:

New Orleans Square

  • The bridge connecting New Orleans Square with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will temporarily close beginning July 8, 2024. Guests can access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge via the Frontierland entrance.
  • Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is closed while we create a new queue experience. Read more about the enhancements taking place on the Disney Parks Blog.
  • Disneyland Railroad – New Orleans Square Station
Due to work in the area between Tiana’s Palace and the Haunted Mansion, the Disneyland Railroad station in New Orleans Square is unavailable for boarding and unloading, though the train will continue to operate. Guests who require an accessible entrance to the attraction can use stations in Mickey’s Toontown and Tomorrowland.
  • Popcorn and churro carts may be temporarily relocated during this time.

Critter Country

To make way for exciting enhancements to the land, Critter Country will temporarily close beginning May 1, 2024. Read the latest news on these projects on the Disney Parks Blog.
