Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

New ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ Trailer Looks Forward With Help From the Past

A new trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has been released. This trailer takes the newest generation of Ghostbusters into a brand new adventure that looks bigger and scarier than ever before. To be able to fight this new foe, they will need some help from some familiar faces from the past… unfortunately, past faces aren’t always all positive for these new Ghostbusters… At the end of the day, the Ghostbusters must come together fight a new villain, the Death Chill, and prevent a new ice age from coming and destroying the world as we know it.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Official Synopsis

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

This trailer shows the Ghostbusters going on an all new adventure with a very heavy dose of nostalgia. It also shows that this new ghost busting adventure is based around an ancient relic. Death Chill literally scares people to death and looks like it could be a new villain that is more difficult to defeat than any the Ghostbusters have ever faced off against before.

There is also another adversary appearing in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. This adversary would like to see the Ghostbusters themselves cease to exist as an organization. Walter Peck, played by William Atherton, has returned as a nemesis to the organization. He used to be an Environmental Protection Agency inspector, now it seems like he might have more power. Only time will tell.

The cast for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire sees the return of Ghostbusters: Afterlife cast members including Gary Grooberson (Paul Rudd), Callie Spengler (Carrie Coon), Trevor Spengler (Finn Wolfhard), and Phoebe Spengler (McKenna Grace) along with classic characters like Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson),  and Janine Melnitz (Annie Potts) along with some other familiar faces and ghosts like Slimer!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will be arriving in theaters on March 22, 2024. Are you excited to see it? What did you like most in the trailer? Any specific details that jumped out at you? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
