Marvel’s ‘Echo’ Gets New Release Date and New Trailer

Marvel’s Echo will be arriving on Disney+ and Hulu a little bit earlier than originally announced. Along with the arrival of a new trailer came the announcement that this series will be released on Disney’s streaming services on January 9, 2024 instead of January 10. The trailer also gives plenty of indications of what fans will see when the TV-MA rating series is released. Along with a warning at the beginning of the trailer, there is also a lot of action and violence showing how the series has earned the rating. When Echo does arrive on its new release date, all five episodes of the series will be released at once. Check out the trailer here:

Echo Official Description

Marvel Studios presents “Echo,” spotlighting Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy. “Echo” also stars Chaske Spencer (“Wild Indian,” “The English”), Graham Greene (“1883,” “Goliath”), Tantoo Cardinal (“Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Stumptown”), Devery Jacobs (FX’s “Reservation Dogs,” “American Gods”), Zahn McClarnon (“Dark Winds,” FX’s “Reservation Dogs”), Cody Lightning (“Hey, Viktor!” “Four Sheets to the Wind”) and Vincent D’Onofrio (“Hawkeye,” “Godfather of Harlem”).

Echo is going to be a part of a new banner of Marvel Studios’ shows called Marvel Spotlight. Marvel Spotlight focuses on projects that aren’t as prominently connected to other stories within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Marvel Spotlight gives us a platform to bring more grounded, character-driven stories to the screen, and in the case of Echo, focusing on street-level stakes over larger MCU continuity,” Marvel’s Head of Streaming Brad Winderbaum explained when announcing Marvel Spotlight at an event. “Just like comics fans didn’t need to read Avengers or Fantastic Four to enjoy a Ghost Rider Spotlight comic, our audience doesn’t need to have seen other Marvel series to understand what’s happening in Maya’s story.” It is expected that the upcoming Marvel Studios’ series Wonder Man will also be released under this banner.
