Happy November 1st! After having so much fun spending a few minutes each day sharing what we are thankful for last year for our 24 Days of Thanksgiving, we thought we would do it again this year. Of course, this year Thanksgiving is on the 23rd of November so we will be celebrating 23 Days of Thanksgiving! Throughout the 23 days, the Daps Magic team will be sharing things they are thankful of that relate in one way or another with Disney and positive stuff. We encourage you to add what you are thankful for as well each day in the comments. It can be related to the topic today or just something you are thankful for in the world of Disney and positive stuff. It doesn’t matter! We just want to share gratitude together this month!
For the kick off of this year’s 23 Days of Thanksgiving I thought it’d be appropriate to start with a look at community and friendship. In the past year, I have regularly been aware of how thankful for the people that surrounds me and also Daps Magic. In short, they are amazing. As I sit here thinking about all the people I’m thankful for and the community that surrounds Daps Magic, dozens of names pop to mind. Instead of writing them all down and potentially forgetting them, I’m just going to say I’m thankful for all of those who have made this last year magical. We have encountered you in the following areas as I’m thinking about this:
- Parks friends
- Collaborators
- Disney Cast Members
- PR/Media Reps
- Daps Magic Community
- Buddy Pals on GEEKS CORNER
- Patreon
- Social Media Friends
- The Family You Choose
- Family
- People we’ve covered events with
- Friends from around the globe
- Random encounters in the parks (kind of goes with parks friends but there are a few specific moments I’m thinking of)
- Daps Magic Team
As I threw together the list above, there are probably hundreds (if not more) of people that fit into these categories. Each one of these has a moment or shared experience that makes me smile as I think about them. There have been so many kind and amazing people that have made this last year so special. Whether it was a trip to Walt Disney World, the opening of a new attraction or restaurant, the reopening of a land, or an adventure in the rain (CHOC Walk 2023!), there have been so many wonderful memories with amazing people!
