Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials

New Trailer Released for 60th Anniversary ‘Doctor Who’ Specials

A new trailer has been released for the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who specials. These specials will be arriving on Disney+ for anyone not living in the United Kingdom or Ireland in November. Russell T. Davies, Showrunner says: “This is just the start, as the fever starts to burn. We’re heading for a November full of Doctor Who surprises, for fans and new viewers alike. Stay alert!”

Along with the return of David Tenant as the Fourteenth Doctor in this trailer, there is also the return of a classic Dr. Who villain, the Toymaker. Played by Neil Patrick Harris, this is the first time this foe of Doctor Who has been seen since 1966.  The question remains, what brings this villain back to face The Doctor?

UNIT is also making a return to Doctor Who. With the return of UNIT, Jemma Redgrave also makes a return and is again being portrayed by Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.

The trailer also shows the return of Donna Noble, who appears to have her memory back. This brings up new questions in itself. Only time will tell how everything is working. Donna is once again portrayed by Catherine Tate. Watch the full trailer here:

Doctor Who will be returning with three episodes for the 60th Anniversary specials in November on BBC in the United Kingdom and Ireland and Disney+ everywhere else. During these three episodes, David Tenant will be appearing as the Fourteenth Doctor and Ncuti Gatwa will appear as the Fifteenth Doctor.
