Recently, Disneyland Paris was forced to release a statement ahead of a strike earlier this month regarding disruptions that could happen due to a cast member strike. This was followed by a fairly disruptive day at Disneyland Paris where operations were indeed impacted by the cast members who were striking in the park. On social media, protestors could be seen with banners walking around Disney, swarming around the castle, and speaking out for better working conditions. In return, operations were impacted and guests could be seen voicing their displeasure.
Yesterday, cast members announced their intention to strike again on June 19th at the most visited place in Europe. In response to this announcement, Disneyland Paris has released a statement. The following was released on social media by the Disneyland Help account:
UPDATE] Due to a planned strike at Disneyland Paris by part of our staff on Monday 19th June, certain shows or activities may be disrupted or even cancelled.
The Disney Parks and Hotels will remain open and we will do everything possible to continue to provide the best experience possible. If you wish, you are welcome to postpone your visit to a later date.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
