Disneyland Paris shared about a new training program for aspiring MARVEL artists. Five mentees with artistic prowess were brought into the program, called MARVEL Art Atelier, to unleash the powers of their pens under the guidance of MARVEL mentor Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stormbreakers Peach Momoko and Natacha Bustos. Giuseppe, Peach, and Natacha shared their knowledge, tricks, and techniques that are used to bring the page to life in a way that only MARVEL can do. They also challenged the mentees on specific MARVEL themes too.
Out of the artist mentees in the program, Federica Mancin was given the honor of being named the “best mentee of the week.” This was based off her work, which included a final 24-hour challenge. This led to her winning her very first contract with MARVEL for a Marvel Comics cover.
The best of the artwork that was created through the program are now on display with the expo at the Jack Kirby Legacy Gallery at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. This is a space that is dedicated to hosting super, seasonal exhibitions. Any superfans of either MARVEL or artwork will definitely want to stop by and check this gallery out!
