Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch has found its Lilo. For the remake of the 2002 animated film, Maia Kealoha has been cast as Lilo. The film is being directed by Dean Fleischer Camp. Camp is known as an India director and for directing the best animated feature Oscar nominee Marcel the Shell With Shoes On.
Kealoha joins Zach Galifianakis, who previously joined the cast. It is unknown what his role will be in the film at this point. The rest of the cast has not been revealed yet at this point either. Kealoha hasn’t appeared in any major releases before this. She has been recognized as the 2023 Mini Miss Kona Coffee.
It is expected that Lilo & Stitch will be a major movie for Disney. It isn’t known when filming will begin for this movie, or when it will be released.
