Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Voyage Canceled Ahead of Arrival of Tropical Storm Nicole

As Tropical Storm Nicole gets closer to making Florida landfall Walt Disney World Resort is announcing changes to hours, closures of resorts, and other operational modifications ahead of Nicole’s arrival. Currently, the storm is projected to hit the Florida coast early Thursday morning as a Category 1 Hurricane. Orlando International Airport is stopping commercial operations on Wednesday as well. Disney also announced that the voyage of the Halcyon that was set to depart to a galaxy far, far away on November 10th has been canceled.

The following post was shared on The Walt Disney World Resort website announcing the cancelation of the cruise:

Walt Disney World Resort Website

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser takes guests on an interactive adventure aboard the Halcyon in a galaxy far, far away. This experience completely immerses guests in the world of Star Wars as they get to see it come to life around them and interact with all that is going on. Part of the cruise includes a trip down to the planet Batuu found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This part of the experience could be greatly impacted by Tropical Storm Nicole. The first official voyage for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser blasted off earlier this year in March.

Daps Magic will continue to follow the impact of Tropical Storm Nicole on Walt Disney World Resort and provide updates as they become available.
