The Mad T Party began its run at Disney California Adventure on June 15, 2012. This was the same day that Disney California Adventure was rededicated. This began a run that continued until November 30, 2014. It would return On May 22, 2015, through March 30, 2016, as part of Disneyland Resort’s Diamond Celebration. The premise revolved around the characters of Alice in Wonderland having a rocking nighttime party in the Hollywood Studios area of Hollywood Land.
The Mad T Party band was comprised of several performers that brought to life, in a modern and more adult way, several characters from Alice in Wonderland. This included:
- Alice – Lead Female Singer
- Mad Hatter – Lead Male Singer
- Dormouse – Guitar
- March Hare – Bass
- Caterpillar – Keyboards
- Cheshire Cat – Drums
Each night the Mad T Party included the Mad T Party Band, DJs, the Hottest Deck in Town, with Tweedledee and Tweedledum as the hosts of the night. There was a main stage and also a House of Cards stage where the Hottest Deck in Town would perform when not on the Main Stage with the band. There was also the Drink Me cocktail club with themed beverages and the Mad Arcade with games that included Whack-A-Hat and Bandersnatch Ball.
For a couple of years, the Mad T Party became a part of the Halloween celebration at the Disneyland Resort. The band took on the look of zombies and their set list changed to include songs like Thriller and This is Halloween. Many of the regular songs continued to be performed throughout the Halloween time celebrations. As the night progressed, the band got more and more “zombified.” This version of the Mad T Party was offered in 2013 and 2014.
