Ahsoka Voice Actress Honored to Be Returning to the Role

When Ashley Eckstein brought the character of Ahsoka Tano to life with her voice in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, nobody realized just how much of an impact the character and voice actress would make on the Star Wars universe. Ahsoka Tano would become a fan favorite, and so would Ashley Eckstein. Ahsoka would become a strong female character in Star Wars. Eckstein would become a strong female leader in the Star Wars fandom, found Her Universe, and become an advocate for mental health.

Ashley Eckstein will be returning to the role of Ahsoka Tano for the upcoming Tales of the Jedi series that will be coming to Disney+. This series will explore different Jedi characters from the prequel era. The series was created by Dave Filoni and Charles Murray.

In a recent interview with  Sci-fi and Fantasy Gazette, Ashley Eckstein shared her thoughts about returning to the role

“I am just beyond honored to step back into Ahsoka’s boots and breathe life into her again for Tales of the Jedi. Dave Filoni promises me I would always be the voice of Ahsoka in animation, and I’m thrilled to return and so excited. The shorts are beautiful. The stories are wonderful. I can’t wait to share them with everyone. Yeah, it’s very exciting. It’s something I always approach with so much gratitude. I don’t look at what I’m not doing, I look at what I have been able to do. Every new opportunity, I’m so grateful for. I’m honored to be able to do Tales of the Jedi, and when I’m not filling Ahsoka’s boots in animation, I’ve made it my, literally, life’s goal to be a real-life version of her day in and day out.”

When Ahsoka Tano returns in Tales of the Jedi, fans will get to see a much younger version of the character. The show will be exploring the early days of her life. Who exactly she will cross paths with remains to be seen at this point. Another thing that remains to be seen is exactly when Tales of the Jedi will be released on Disney+ later this year.
