“It’s not easy being green,” Kermit the Frog has sung for years now. However, today Kermit reminded everyone that “it’s a lot easier being green if we all work together.” This came after Kermit hit a button and turned EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth green after admiring its beauty.
The video was posted today on Disney Parks’ social media as part of the Disney Planet Possible initiative. Disney shared earlier this month that the initiative includes “tangible actions we’re taking to put possibility into practice and inspire optimism for a brighter, more sustainable future.”
The new video of Kermit with Spaceship Earth marks the second time in recent months that The Muppets have made an impact on the iconic entrance to EPCOT. During the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, Rainbow Connection was played and Spaceship Earth’s lights were synced to the music.
The new lighting package on Spaceship Earth has allowed for some creative and beautiful performances on the outside of the icon. It is powered by efficient 100% LED lighting.
