This week Walt Disney World Resort was named the most popular tourist destination on TikTok. According to Forbes, a new study from Next Vacay determined this. The study released a list of top ‘bucket list’ experiences for 2022. This list was determined by looking at what experiences and destinations were the most watched on TikTok.
According to the study, searches for ‘travel TikTok videos’ have surged by over 350 percent over the course of the last year. This is attributed to the fact that both millennials and Gen Z travelers are again preparing to travel after being locked down for over a year.
The destinations that were searched spanned the globe. However, there were a few things that the searches had in common. The destinations and experiences were social media friendly and also visually appealing.
Here are the top five destinations that were revealed in the study:

4. Taj Mahal, Agra, India
3. Eiffel Tower, Paris, France
2. Burj Khalifa, Dubai, UAE
1. Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida
As can be seen on the list above, Walt Disney World garnered the top stop on this list. It received over 8.6 billion views on TikTok. The Next Vacay indicated that the best time to visit Walt Disney World Resort is during the winter. This is due to cooler temperatures and the crowds are thinner.
