Disneyland Paris Announces New Disney Ambassador Team

Disneyland Paris has announced its newest Disney Ambassador team. This duo will be representing the Resort as it celebrates its 30th Anniversary. The new ambassadors are Carmen Lleo Badal (Contact Center) and Quentin Rodrigues (Show & Ride Engineering). They will represent Disneyland Paris during a term that will run from 2022-2023.

The new Disney Ambassador team now is part of a legacy that dates back to 1965 at Disneyland when Julie Reihm became the first Disneyland Ambassador during Disneyland’s 10th Anniversary. When Disneyland Paris opened in 1992, Sabine Marcon was named the first Ambassador of the Resort. This legacy continues as Disney Ambassadors share the magic around the globe at Disneyland Paris and other Disney destinations.

To select these new Disney Ambassadors, there was a process where candidates went through a series of interviews with Cast Members from different divisions and completed workshops on various topics for things like social media and public speaking. At the end of the process, Carmen and Quentin were chosen after demonstrating “dynamism, radiant personalities and communicative positiveness.”

Carmen, who was originally from Spain, shared: “For me, Disneyland Paris is above all my family story. My parents are also big fans of the resort, and we used to come here very regularly. Working at Disneyland Paris was more than a dream, it was the logical next step in my career, and today, even my little brother works as a Cast Member during the high seasons!”

Carmen began working at Disney in 2011. Her first job was with Food & Beverage where she worked at Plaza Gardens. She also worked in Attractions on various favorites like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Peter Pan’s Flight. These experiences gave her experience and knowledge in Park Operations. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education but still wished to pursue an artistic path. She has put her creativity to work in event management and has even grown in this field in the United States. Since 2018 Carmen has worked with the digital teams at the Contact Center. There she works daily with guests who will be coming to Disneyland Paris and helps them prepare for their visit.

Quentin is originally from Yvelines and holds a duel degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He started his Disney career in Attractions in 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort where he worked for 6 months. He joined the Show & Ride Engineering teams at Disneyland Paris as a Mechanical Engineer in 2018. His goal is to improve Disneyland Paris’ attractions and show equipment so that guests have the best experiences.

Quentin shared, “Disneyland Paris is the company that made me want to become an Engineer. I knew that I wanted my work to contribute the emotions felt by our Guests. I’ve always been very curious, and when I was younger, I wanted to understand how the attractions at Disneyland Paris worked.”

Both Carmen and Quentin shared that becoming Disneyland Paris Ambassadors were a dream come true. Together they intend to showcase the wealth of talent and diversity of Cast Members, something that is important to both of them. They will also continue to showcase diversity and inclusion, key values at Disneyland Paris. Both will continue to work with Disney VoluntEARS where they already are actively contributing.

The two new Disney Ambassadors will begin a training period that will last through the end of the year. They will officially begin their term on January 1, 2022.
