Details continue to be released about Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Wish. Yesterday, details were released about the Avengers: Quantum Encounter dining experience. Today, more details were released about some of the quick and casual dining options on the ship. They are full of magic and even have some connections with Walt Disney. They will be found on the upper decks of the Disney Wish.
Marceline Market
The Marceline Market is named after Walt Disney’s childhood home in Missouri. This dining location has 10 food stalls and also a cafe-style beverage center in the middle. The different marketplaces found here will be inspired by popular marketplaces from around the world. This menu will be changing regularly and promises to have foods that the whole family will enjoy. This will include American classics, international specialties, comfort foods, soups and salads, vegetarian and plant-based options, baked goods, seafood, and desserts.
The Marceline Market will be designed to look like an old industrial loft that was converted into the marketplace that it is today. There will be some added Disney magic, however. Each of the ten food stalls will have proprietors that are Disney characters! The stations will be themed to animated films like Tangled, Alice in Wonderland, Ratatouille, Zootopia, and others.
Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods
Another fun food destination on the Disney Wish’s upper decks will be found right in the middle of all the magic and fun. The Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods is being billed as the perfect place to grab a quick lunch, dinner, or something in between. This is the place to go for soft-serve ice cream and will also have two dedicated quick-service venues that will serve barbecue and Mexican-inspired foods.
Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods offers other dining options as well. This includes American classics and snacks. In total, there will be five stalls at this location. They include Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill, and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream. The area is inspired by a seaside boardwalk setting that is featured in the Mickey Mouse shorts.
The Disney Wish will be setting sail in 2022 and will be packed full of magic. Expect to hear about more of these magical offerings as it gets closer to its first sailing next year.
