Cruella may have just arrived in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access but the movie is already reportedly getting a sequel. The Hollywood Reporter broke the story and is sharing that both director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara will be returning for a second story about Cruella.
Since opening in theaters and Disney+ with Premier Access on May 28th, the film has made $48.5 million globally. The film has gotten favorable reviews (including by DAPS MAGIC) with it’s live-action re-imaging of Cruella as she received an origin story.
Currently, there isn’t any information about what a potential plot or release date could be for this sequel. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
