Disneyland will be reopening again on April 30th. When the park reopens, so will the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. It had been down before the park closed for some “home improvements.” These updates will be found both inside and out of the Haunted Mansion and were shared today on the Disney Parks Blog.
Outside, guests will discover that there is some new landscaping. This can be found around the pet graveyard. There also might be some new “tales of tragedy” to be found.
More improvements will be found inside as guests “continue our little tour.” In the portrait hallway, a face will be returning that Disney fans may recognize. One of the Haunted Mansion’s original portraits, known as April to December, will adorn a wall in the hallway. This haunted portrait as a beautiful young woman ages into an old woman while guests move towards their doom buggy.
A video released by Disney gives a look at some of these new enhancements and promises some more when guests “hurry back.” Take a look below.
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be reopening on April 30th. Starting on April 15th, guests will be able to purchase tickets and make reservations for their return to the parks.
