Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Release Date for Ghostbusters: Afterlife Delayed Again

Ghostbusters: Afterlife joins the list of movies that continue to play musical chairs with their release dates. Sony has again delayed the release date for the upcoming Ghostbusters flick from where it had recently been situated in June of 2021 to a new hopefully release date of November 11, 2021. This follows a trend of several big movies moving from the first half of the year to the latter half.

The move comes as the pandemic continues to rage on both in the United States and around the globe. Because of this, theaters are not even close to accommodating the amount of guests studios would hope to have for many of these blockbuster movies.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was written and directed by Jason Reitman. It continues the story that was started with the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 stories. It follows the story of a family who moves to a small Oklahoma town. There, they find that they have a connection to the Ghostbusters legacy that runs rather deep and is connected directly to their grandfather. Carrie Coon stars in this film and is joined by McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, with Paul Rudd. The remaining original Ghostbusters are all returning to appear in the movie as well.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was originally slated to be released in the summer of 2020. Do you think it will actually be released on November 11, 2021? What do you think of what you’ve seen of this film so far? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!

ghostbusters is a big and old franchise there is fans no matter the age range and thats the problem they are afraid of the pandemic spreading cause as the film is said to be a reboot set in the same universe as the original 2 films very much a
sequel set 30 years later will appeal to both old and new fans alike that will probably fill the theaters to no matter the cost
i myself will put on 15 masks to see it in theaters i dont care but the more they delay it cause of fear of pandemic is hurting
the film as im losing interest in it as i have been following the film for a few years and i know that GB afterlife is a 2019 film
and will probably be delayed everytime its close to release, it was going to be 2020 then moved to March, April, June now
November they are afraid to release it the pandemic is killing the movie
