Disney+ Streaming Service Passes 60 Million Paid Subscribers This Month

Disney simply continues to grow! The giant only entered the streaming service game 9 months ago but they have already passed the 60 million paid subscribers. In April, we reported that Disney+ has passed 50 million and they continue to grow exponentially as fans look for a way to bring the magic home.

Of course, there has been an incredible amount of content to consume! Even people that don’t necessarily brag about all their Disney knowledge have found a home in the Disney+ streaming service. Whether you are looking for you favorite animated classic or a new Star Wars film, the service has been able to capture hearts everywhere.

One of the biggest things bringing in subscribers is the original content. The Mandalorian was the show in the highest demand around all streaming services. Many movies have made their debut on the service while theaters remain closed like Artemis Fowl and Mulan launching later this year.

When we reported earlier this year, Hulu had 30 million paid subscribers and Netflix had 167 million. At the rate that Disney+ continues to grow, it will catch up to Netflix and become a true competitor for the other giants that dominate the industry. I truly believe that this Fall will be a great opportunity for Disney’s growth as The Mandalorian season 2 will launch in October. If the hype around Baby Yoda tells us anything, it is that fans will definitely show up for this original Star Wars series!
