Spider-Man 3 Release Date Moved to December 2021

The third Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland has a new release date. As The Walt Disney Company moved many release dates around, including future Star Wars and Avatar movies, a new December release date opened for Spider-Man 3. Sony is now moving Spider-Man 3 from Nov. 5, 2021, to Dec. 17, 2021. Originally this film was supposed to be released on July 16, 2021. It now takes the date that was formerly inhabited by Avatar 2.

This movie will continue the story following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. A specific storyline isn’t known yet. It will be directed by Jon Watts. Originally production was to begin this month, however, it has been delayed due to Tom Holland’s work on Uncharted. At this time it isn’t known how it will fit into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe and how these date changes could impact the bigger story potentially being told.

The move to December could be a very good thing for Spider-Man 3. It puts it in the prime place for holiday moviegoers. DAPS MAGIC will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available. It is still possible that this release date could change again.
