“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” Wins the Weekend in Box Offices

Box Offices

This weekend, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil took the #1 spot in domestic box offices as it brought in $36M. The sequel to the Sleeping Beauty villain story was up against quite a few films, both facing opening weekends and returning to theaters for another week.

This Disney sequel went into theaters against films from Sony, Warner Brothers, and even some Fox films. Domestically, Maleficent took the top spot while the film in second place made $29M in its third weekend in theaters. This is just domestic numbers, so it will be interesting to see what this film reaps in as it hits international theaters and box offices.

Earlier this week, our very own Mr. DAPS got a chance to see Maleficent: Mistress of Evil in a special 4DX theater. This theater provides a fully immersive experience that moves the seats and even has effects roll into the theater. Check out his full review of this experience and what he thought of the film below!

Have you had a chance to catch this movie in theaters? Be sure to let us know on Twitter and Facebook!
