This week has had quite a few changes for the leadership of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. Earlier this week it was learned that Catherine Powell would be departing from Disney after 15 years with the company. Today more changes were announced regarding the leadership for the division. Current Disneyland Resort president Josh D’Amaro will be moving to the Walt Disney World Resort to become its president. This move leaves an opening for the role of president at the Disneyland Resort. It will be filled by Rebecca Campbell.
Rebecca S. Campbell is a 22-year veteran with The Walt Disney Company. In January 2018, she was appointed President, The Walt Disney Company – Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In this role she was responsible for Disney’s Media, Motion Pictures and all other operations across EMEA (excluding Disneyland Paris) and closely collaborated with the consumer products team. Before that, she was the President of the ABC Owned Television Station Group and President of ABC Daytime. In this role, she was responsible for Disney’s eight local TV stations and their digital assets. She also oversaw ABC National Television Sales.
Campbell currently is a director on the boards of Disney Cruise Line and Broadcast Music Industry (BMI). She is also a trustee on the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles board of directors.
Over the next few weeks, she will be transitioning to her new role at the Disneyland Resort as current Disneyland Resort president Josh D’Amaro helps with the transition as he makes his own move to the Walt Disney World Resort.
