Jessie’s Critter Carousel Soft Opens for Pixar Pier Guests at Disney California Adventure

Guests visiting Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure on Thursday discovered that the walls around Jessie’s Critter Carousel had come down. Ahead of its official opening, the carousel also was doing a soft open for guests during the day.

The new addition to Pixar Pier has been observed by fans throughout the last year as progress was made in its transition from King Triton’s Carousel of the Sea to Jessie’s Critter Carousel. More than just an overlay, the new carousel has a completely different look and theme than that of undersea characters.

DAPS MAGIC staff member Caitlyn stopped by Disney California Adventure on Thursday afternoon and grabbed some photos and video of this new attraction.

Jessie’s Critter Carousel is one of many new experiences coming to the Disneyland Resort. Last year, Pixar Pier opened. This year, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will also be opening at Disneyland. Mickey’s PhilharMagic and a new super-hero themed land is coming to Disney California Adventure as well.
