Besides the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pier reopened a classic Disney California Adventure attraction that has gone through two transformations in its lifetime. The Pixar Pal-A-Round updates Mickey’s Fun Wheel (before that the Sun Wheel) to include Pixar friends on each gondola. In addition, a great new paint scheme really complements the rest of the newly renovated area of the park. As the sign says as you exit, you’ve got a friend in me and that’s what the ride aims to show.
Probably the best way to find that out is on the swinging gondolas. Mr. Daps and I were able to do a dueling live stream on YouTube and Facebook to show off the fearful ride on the wheel. I have ridden the iterations of the swinging gondolas in the past, but it has been a year or so since riding them. It felt smoother, and yet even more swing than before. It was still fun as it’s ever been, and now with Pixar safety spiels to round out the Pixar Pier feel.
