New Trailer Released for Disney-Pixar’s Incredibles 2

Disney-Pixar’s Incredibles 2 new trailer was released this morning. This trailer gives a deeper look at what is going on in the Parr family after the events of The Incredibles. Watch the trailer here, read my thoughts below, and then let us know in the comments what you thought of it. The trailer was released today in conjunction with the beginning of Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort. This celebration of Pixar at the Disneyland Resort will continue through September 3, 2018.

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Written and directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles,” “Tomorrowland”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer), Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.

So What Do You Think?

It looks like the Incredibles will be picking up right where they left off at the end of the original movie. This trailer looks to have much of the same look, feel, and pacing of the original. Couple this with Michael Giacchino’s jazzy score and this could be a really good thing. There appeared to be at least one fun Easter Egg thrown in this trailer. Did anyone else catch the Monorail that needed saving? The story itself looks to keep moving the Parr family’s story forward in a natural way. I will be curious to see if there is a moral of the story for this movie. It also has a much more Marvel feel to it. There have been a LOT of superhero movies released since the original movie came out. It appears that these superhero movies have influenced Incredibles 2. This is no surprise though and we would be disappointed if they didn’t do this. Overall, this looks like it will be a fun summer flick that the whole family can enjoy. I’m looking forward to seeing it!
