It is a good time to be a fan of The Muppets. It appears that there will be a reboot of The Muppets on the upcoming Disney streaming service. Muppet Babies is also on its way to Disney Junior! Disney Junior has also released just when exactly Muppet Babies will debut. There will be two back-to-back episodes on March 23 at 10 a.m. EDT on Disney Channel and in the DisneyNOW app.
There will be quite the collection of voice talent to voice these young Muppets. This includes Jenny Slate as Miss Nanny, Melanie Harrison as Piggy, Dee Bradley Baker as Animal, Ben Diskin as Gonzo, Eric Bauza as Fozzie, Jessica DiCicco as Summer, and supervising director Matt Danner as Kermit.
Disney Junior also has shared that each episode will be based on one of the Muppet Babies’ imagination. It appears that this could end up taking them anywhere. Adventures could take off from Kermit’s bouncy pond, Piggy’s dressing room, Summer’s art table, Gonzo’s chicken coop, Fozzie’s stage, or the treehouse in the backyard! These adventures will also have guest stars appearing like Statler and Waldorf, Bunsen and Beaker, Rowlf the Dog, Rizzo, and Dr. Teeth. All of this will be done while retaining the style of the original show of the same name.
