When guests first entered Disneyland 62 years ago, they were treated to the sights and sounds of a small town in the middle of the country. There was a cafe, many musical offerings, and even slow-moving vehicles traveling up and down the street. These vehicles were some of Walt’s favorite in the park, and he would ride them before Disneyland would start creating magic for guests each day.
For the first time since 1955, the track for the horse-drawn vehicles will be completely replaced, halting operation of all Main Street, U.S.A vehicles until late Winter of this year. While portions of the track have been replaced in the past, this will be the first time in Disneyland history that the entirety of the track is being replaced. Along with the new track, Main Street will be getting new brickwork to blend the new pieces together.
Are you looking forward to the new pieces of Main Street?
