UPDATE: Walt Disney World Resort Responds to Hurricane Irma by Closing Gates

Ahead of Hurricane Irma’s arrival in Florida, the Walt Disney World Resort has begun to take precautionary measures to insure the safety of guests and Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort.

Guests visiting its website today found a banner across the top of the website with updates due to the weather. A link on the banner led to more information coming due to the hurricane. Currently the main Walt Disney World parks are expected to operate as normal however, this could change as the storm progresses are now expected to close early on Saturday afternoon and re-open on Tuesday September 12th. The Walt Disney World Resort hotels will remain open however.
