In appreciation of fans, this morning Lucasfilm released the title for Star Wars: Episode VIII. The next chapter of the Star Wars “Skywalker saga” will be The Last Jedi. No other information was released about this movie that wasn’t already known other than a teaser image with the title on it.
The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
