RunDisney has introduced a new way to enjoy Disney running events. Though they say it’s virtual, there is still running involved. The virtual part is that the entire setup is online and not having people go to attend a race. The three 5k events will be spaced out starting from May 15 and until June 30, 2016. In three two week periods, runners will have to run 3.1 miles to complete the challenges. Registration is required, and those who register will get medals for the appropriate race. Each leg has separate registration, or a package that includes all three, plus a tumbler and series medal is available. Each event is $39 or $142 for all three. The medals and theme for each event is a classic clothing item of Mickey Mouse. The first is the Yellow Glove, then Red Pants, and finally White Glove event. The overall event encourages people to run anywhere they choose, and to grab others to join with them. Runners can also share their experiences with the hashtag #runDisneyShorts. Registration is open now at rundisney.com/virtual-running-shorts
