Recently I was able to return to the Walt Disney World Resort for a week long vacation. Caribbean Beach Resort was my home base for this trip that was full of magic and memories. In the coming days, I will be posting photos and memories of my trip. It really was a blast. The first post covers the first 30 hours of the trip. This is because I really didn’t do a lot the first evening I arrived, other than have dinner. I did get a few fun photos of the room and view from in front of the room.
Caribbean Beach Resort
The Caribbean Beach Resort is a lovely place to stay. It is themed to be like the Pirates of the Caribbean, which is quite appropriate when you think about the name. It is a lovely Resort that spreads out along a quiet river. Beaches are scattered around with awesome hammocks. If I hadn’t been in the parks so much, I definitely would have enjoyed relaxing in a hammock with a good book and tropical drink. The rooms were comfortable, although a bit more pirate themed than I probably would care for. Overall though, I really enjoyed how quiet it was and how beautiful as well.
Epcot
The first full day at Walt Disney World was spent at Epcot. I love Epcot. It is beautiful in both scenery and also with the people who work there. I love how people from all around the world come together to be a part of the Disney magic. Wandering around World Showcase and getting to meet all of these different people with different languages and cultures is an absolutely beautiful experience. One minute I was speaking French to a young man after purchasing some glasses, the next minute I’m watching Italian dancers twirling flags around the central plaza of the Italy Pavilion. It was also the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot and that is absolutely beautiful. I can’t imagine the upkeep for all of these flowers. There are some absolutely stunning flower gardens there in general, make it a festival and it goes to the next level! Finally, we visited a few characters as we wandered around Epcot. All in all, it made for the beginning of a perfect trip.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The second stop of the day was at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was my first visit there since the removal of the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat. I will have to say that I thought the new look that is really the old look really looks great! I really enjoyed being able to see the Chinese Theater at the end of the street as I walked in. It really looks fantastic and I could definitely take lots of pictures there. Another highlight of the day for me was getting to see some Jedi training. With the new addition of Kylo Ren, it was really a blast to watch. Overall, I really enjoyed watching the show and found it to be another place I would have loved to had more time to take pictures! The evening also included MuppetVision 3D which is a definite favorite as well. Disney’s Hollywood Studios made for a lovely ending of our first day at Walt Disney World.
Here are a few photos from the first 30 hours. What are your favorite parts of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
