The Walt Disney Family Museum in Northern California is ready for a fun-filled summer. Announced on Tuesday, an exciting event is set to take part on August 22. Charles Phoenix, know for his popular use of “slide shows” will make his way to the museum for the “Big Retro Disneyland Slide Show.”
With his spectacular collection of “found” mid-century era Kodachrome images, unbridled enthusiasm, and keen eye for detail, Charles takes audiences back in time to the quintessential theme park when it was new.
Here members and non members in attendance will get the chance to look at the early days of the Disneyland Resort. There will be three showings of the presentation; 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The 8 p.m. showing is set for members only and will include Charles’ Test Kitchen after the presentation. Members can enjoy “Disney’s favorite Hormel Chili served over Doritos—likely invented at Disneyland—delicious lemon JELL-O, a signature cocktail, as well as other surprises.”
Prices of tickets will vary on membership and times of show. If you would like more information, please click here.
