Looks like Mickey Mouse will be starring in another animated series that will hit Disney Junior airwaves in 2017. According to Variety, this preschooler show will feature the fab five or should one say the “Sensational Six,” as they zoom around in their themed vehicles.
The article states that the new series, “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” will be aimed towards children in the age range of 2-7. Both live action and CG animation will be used. The show will have a strong impact on young audiences as they discuss topics such as friendship and teamwork.
Executive producer of the series will be that of Rob LaDuca and supervising story editor, Mark Seidenberg.
Nancy Kanter, original programming and general manager of Disney Junior Worldwide, shared her thoughts on the new concept. “Preschoolers around the world have enjoyed ‘Mickey Mouse Clubhouse’ for almost a decade, and we are eager to showcase these classic Disney characters once again in a new series centered around their lives in Hot Dog Hills and surprising racing adventures that take the gang to a variety of iconic locales around the world.”
