Along with the great events and fun that will be had at this year’s D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center, here are two more things to add to the list. The D23 Expo taking place August 14-16 will hold two creative contests that will give prizes to winners.
What exactly are the contests you may ask?
The first contest is Mousequerade which is all about creating unique costumes inspired by the magic of Disney. There will be several categories in this competition; “Heroes Unmasked,” “Once Upon a Costume,” “The Wonderful Worlds of Disney,” “Best of Star Wars,” and “Weird, Wild, and Goofy!” The winner of the Mousequerade will receive a trip to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, for two. In addition, the next contest is the D23 Expo Design Challenge. Inspired by the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, artists entered in the contest will design Sleeping Beauty Castle. A total of 23 pieces of art will make their way to the final round and will be displayed throughout the expo. One winner from the 23 entries will be selected and will receive a cash prize of $2,300.
