Ariel in Black and White

I belong to a photo challenge club/website where we are given a theme for photos each week. This week was announced today and the theme is black and white. Normally for these things, it is just one photo for the week that you post. However, I thought it could be fun to do a week of black and white photos. Here is the first one for this week’s challenge. I picked Ariel because color is such a huge part of her character. Her red hair is just as iconic as the fact that she is a mermaid…except for when she isn’t. So the thought popped into my head: How often do we see Ariel where her most recognizable feature isn’t quite as recognizable? She is still clearly Ariel to me with the starfish in her hair and the scales on her fin but it is definitely a different perspective and changes things up a bit I think.

I hope you enjoy this coming week’s challenge of black and white.

Make it a GREAT day!
