On this day in 1955, the Mickey Mouse Club Circus debuted at Disneyland on Thanksgiving Day. The Big Top tent with space for 2,500 guests was set up near what is now the Matterhorn. A holiday-themed circus parade kicked off the festivities from Main Street to Fantasyland. The 75-minute performances included Mouseketeers, aerialists, acrobats, clowns, and live animals. Unfortunately, the circus could not outshine the uniqueness of Disneyland, and it only lasted through January 8. [70 years ago in 2025]
