Disney to release “A Nightmare Before Christmas” in 3-D

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Walt Disney Pictures will release a digitally remastered 3-D version of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” on October 20, 2006.

The original stop-motion animated musical was distributed in 1993 and was directed by Henry Selick. The movie told of Jack Skellington, a well-respected figure in Halloweentown who stumbles upon Christmas and decides to kidnap Santa Claus in a misguided attempt to capture the Christmas spirit.
