favorite rainy day activity at a Disney park I was going to say the Disneyland Resort and then I was like no Disney

Parks I already see go to the tables and chairs next to Bengal barbecue write some postcards or take a trip on the

midlevel of the Mark Twain good cannot go wrong with either of those I am partial to the Mark Twain in the rain I

think it's it's one of the most fun things to do and I can remember

probably 15 years ago it pouring and it was raining so hard we went on the last

trip of the Mark Twain of the night which it wasn't supposed to be if I recall but there was literally

waterfalls coming off the side of the I think it was a second deck and we were

on the bottom floor and they like had a lot of things closed and um it was it

was definitely an interesting experience and I remember they being huge puddles

on the floor or on the deck I guess you should say and uh yeah get it right and then uh Frontier land was also mostly

underwater it was a very that if I recall it was a very rainy year in general and um

elino probably one of those yeah but can't go wrong with that we are

saying all of this because of course rain is coming to the Disneyland Resort local local girl um tomorrow Thursday

and Friday Happy Valentine's Day and it's going to be a drenched one it's going to be me

um so what's your favorite thing to do in the rain um I like to people watch I

still don't think anything has ever beat the time we saw a guy with a giant patio

umbrella oh yeah it was on Main Street he had like the the type of patio

umbrella that is not going to be helpful in the rain one it's huge like those things are like 10t so it was like a 10t

patio umbrella but they're like that cloth material they're just going to get wet and Soggy and heavy okay I think

about that a lot he was walking and it ends up dripping through also I feel like but he didn't have it open when he

was walking with it he had it like on his shoulder I don't know I really like

to people watch I also um I don't mind drain I don't mind

getting a little wet and so I'm fine like frolicking I like going on the train in the rain too I love to frolic

uh actually Galaxy's Edge is also very pretty in the rain like it's fun to go over there too it's crazy that it rains

in space yeah I didn't know that that was like it's it's apparently across

time in space who knows um it's one of their sons I guess yeah uh but let's move on from rain to snow you can keep

throwing in what you like to do in the rain in the comments snow there you gos snow those ideas in um anyway last week

we went to The matorn Lodge at the set experience or set Speak Easy get that

right um where we got to meet a yeti in multiple forms um have a magic trick

played which was really cool like it was it was very impressive like it was a

multi-level M multi Parts yes cuz it was like the the magic

tricks were interwoven with each other so they weren't in order and there was callbacks and stuff it was pretty cool

yeah um they had a uh a fun little um like a bar there and some snacks and it

just was a imagine going into a matter horn Lodge with um uh animated windows

and an animated ceiling and that's basically what you got out of this and uh what you think of it I thought it was

super fun um I think the drinks were very fun and very themed um there was also something for everybody on the menu

there was something for sweet drinkers there was something for everybody that's 21 or over there was also but it's it's

a 21 over correct establishment but also if you are somebody that lives the sober

lifestyle uh there was also really great zero proof mocktails um and we are not talking the

Shirley Temple esque things they they put work into it they were zero proof mocktails they were extremely impressive

a piece of sugar going there was uh fun things in the windows there was fun things on um

the screens behind the bar a Rudolph Easter egg uh yes and there was also

just like a lot of really fun Easter eggs everywhere you looked in the room yep so I thought it was super fun um

it's also like a very intimate experience yeah there's probably only like 40 or 50 people that fit yeah very

cool super fun I highly recommend also super fun is celebrate soulfully which

was celebrating gospel this last weekend at the dland resort we'll also be celebrating gospel this coming Saturday

and that means a ton of gospel choirs singing at the fantasy land theater in

Disneyland and then there's a bunch of food around the resort and other entertainment around the resort including Downtown Disney Disneyland

hotel um and both parks there's stuff

everywhere um it's one of those things that it's it's like a really it's almost like

a lightning strike because it's very intense for two Saturdays in February

with the celebrate gospel because they basically go from like 2:15 220 straight through till 7 o'clock with

gospel choirs gospel groups and sometimes even soloists and um and

people really get into it and we were there for the whole thing on Saturday and I'll be there on Saturday this week

too but um rain or shine yes I'm gonna bet shine or part partly shiny I would

bet shine but but this is a fun thing that they bring every year and I'm glad

they do it I hope they keep doing it because I just think it's a um it's a

unique cultural experience that you really wouldn't get anywhere else have

have you been to any of them I don't remember yeah I went to the one in stage 17 with you oh years ago okay yeah back

when they had it in stage 17 before uh Fantasy Land theater but that was 2018

or 2019 is that the I did the interview yes that was and I got that fun picture with the choir yes yeah that was one

with the um cor DeVille from descendants yes yes uh no but super cool

and uh we've got a ton of videos up check them out um I'm going to try to catch some of the try some of the food

this weekend as well and hopefully we'll have a review or something of that as well because there's some unique things

there's like a a black ey P stew at Award winners that I'm told is very good

and we will find out I just realized that celebrate soulfully the year I went might have been

2020 oh leading right in February of 2020 would have been yeah it could have been that it could have been 2019 it was

it was somewhere around there yeah um yeah so that was during the day on

Saturday in the evening on Saturday we ran over to Disney California Adventure to see the ending of the red car trolley

run down the line I guess you could say at Disney California Adventure and there were so many people that showed up for

like the last couple trip couple trips as I hit the microphone and um it's always one of

those Bittersweet fun things where you have all of these people from all over the place converge for this one moment

of goodbye and there's a celebratory feel but there's also kind of a

Melancholy feel happening and especially with something like this that um I think

it was one of those underrated but beloved attractions

and I think from just talking to people and then also uh our own feelings is it

was also one of those things that you didn't have to go on it you just like hearing it seeing it and everything it

added to uh buy ofisa Street in Hollywood Boulevard go ahead kinetic

energy baby 100% it even made that in my article oh my God ktic energy but um

important question mhm when the trolley went by mhm did it go uh ding ding

ding um what do you mean went the trolley yeah and then did the bell clang

clang clang clang clang um I'm not sure if it was three or not but I think it was two actually um

oh yeah the song famously goes they also did Mickey and Minnie uh was which was so cute was the last trip which they do

that or did that fairly frequently I feel like um but it was super cool and

the most I actually think the most special moment of all of that nobody got on camera is I went up on the stairs at

the end of the animation building mainly just to get a picture of the crowd and I take a picture of the crowd and Mickey

and Minnie come up mini first and they went to the door right behind me and I just happened to look over my shoulder

right before they went in and right like Minnie went in the door Mickey went to the door turned around saluted the thing

and then walked off and I was like classy move and nobody saw it like I

literally I didn't even have time to get my phone out or camera or anything cuz it was just like a oh that's cool and

and then it was gone and uh and then the a bunch of conductors hopped into the trolley and then they took it all

backstage back at Avengers campus which is kind of ironic because that's why it's going away um but it was a very

sweet moment there was like people singing I heard one person singing When You Wish a pun a star and then another

guy was singing uh now it's time to say about you know the Mickey Mouse Club ending thing but all in all very cute

very nice um and it'll be missed I think and and I I you know what is it that

Spock says there's always possibilities so I'd like to think that maybe someday they'll find a way to bring them back

when do Spock say that is it Wrath of gone um I think it's before that I don't remember is Search for Spock the one

he's famously in so much of there there you go um who knows it's it's all that

stuff uh um I think that this will be very missed I think we'll be sorely missed um even with it being like out

for photos um I still just think that kinetic energy is something that's a

really big deal and I think that whether you think about it actively or not kinetic energy

is something you benefit from so I agree I think it brings lands and parks to life and um like I really

think when I comp compare like Disneyland's Tomorrowland versus Walt Disney World's Tomorrowland quite often

it comes back to I'm like oh I kind of like Walt Disney World even though if you were to just look at a

picture I would probably choose Disneylands yeah because it's a more interesting it's well and it's just more

photogenic like it it's it feels a little bit more planned and whatever maybe not quite as much now with um Tron

but um but still like there's dead areas and there's like oh this was made in this era this is made in that there's

not quite the continuity that that Disneyland famously doesn't have issue

but um but if I think of the Tomorrowland I enjoy more quite often I

go to Walt Disney Worlds because you do have the the People Mover going around

you have the um the Rockets like there's always something happening and even just

hearing the voice go by above you like it just it just adds to the Disney Experience I will say the kinetic energy

that wins in our tomorrow land yes we don't have the People Mover shame criminal actually

but the monreal plus the Finding Nemo submarines that does help but that is one pocket of tomor you have to be over

there yeah I agree but I love that pocket of Tomorrowland with the kinetic energy another place that has kinetic

energy however is carsland where you do have Lightning McQueen Mater and red

making their way into Radiator Springs to meet with guests yeah um and now red

has a community garden that is open in carsland and this community garden I am convinced is open in carsland because

they needed to make more space for seating since they took it to make a new ordering Kiosk for the Cozy cone motel

that would sure make snacks um and it's it's actually expanded the seating in uh

carsland for the Cozy cone area um but it's a cute little addition like it I

was very I think my favorite detail is I've got like a little model of the front of red up on the entrance as you

walk in and it looks really cute looks even better at night cuz they've got

like the big uh the party lights like the Christmas party lights things hanging from it and um I thought they

did a really nice job with that I think I could like to see maybe like the

tables and chairs maybe a little bit more themed somehow but I don't actually have an answer for how to do that so I'm

not going to knock it really because I think they did pretty well with what they had and and it added land to uh to

card's land that was previously just a wall um so good for them it's shocking to me that it's taken almost 15 years to

fix the uh cozy cone ordering yeah because well I I don't know that they

had a way they didn't yeah I guess because you think of like it's now a remote thing and it's going to different

like maybe the technology wasn't there from a kiosk standpoint cuz they couldn't do it for uh food and one until

a couple years ago either true so maybe it was just a right time right technology right almost 15 years it's

been 13 years since the opening of Cars Land it'll be 13 years this year which is my lucky number we love a 13 um but

it's crazy to me because cozy cone was like is always popular yeah and it's

like what's your favorite thing there just out of curiosity um I love a good ice cream cone cone

queso you would say the I do love the chili cone queso like I rarely will get

it but I think they're a lot of fun I lik the um dipped chocolate the dipped

ice cream cones those were an option um they've had some good like seasonal

things there too they've also had so there is the pop cone there is the um

churro cone there is the uh ice cream cone

it's all they're all cones but there's five of them and the line fits approximately two people each which has

never made it super easy so I think that them um revamping this ordering system

like the second I saw it I was like what a huge Improvement the interesting thing too is when I was there on Saturday

there really weren't lines anywhere MH because you're either mobile ordering or you're going across to this new ordering

kiosk which has two registers I think if I recall and there was basically no line

for the register uh like maybe one person but basically nothing and people

were just walking up and getting their orders and so I don't know if that's CU it drew attention to mobile ordering

that much more or is it people are are

just moving through that line so quickly and and it's it's just made everything more efficient I have a theory yeah how

many times away yes how many times did you watch somebody stand in line for one of the co cones be the wrong one and be

at the wrong one true that too that was a frequent bottleneck at the Cozy cones was they would be like waiting and they

would get close enough to see which one it was and they' be like oh I don't want this one which one do I want and then

they would have to try and refigure it out or they would just get frustrated and walk away um I think that when

you're giving people one place to order you're like oh just tell me what thing you want solving a lot of issues it's

also like I I I'm a Disneyland badic key holder I will have you know um I have

gotten confused at those cones I have walked up to the wrong ones and then I've gotten like embarrassed I'm like

I'm leaving I'll never show my face here again now you don't have to worry and I run away yeah but now you don't have to

worry about it you can either mobile order or uh or go up to the register and it works out well and Red's Garden I'm really excited to see it's I love Car

Land it's very cute um another exciting thing perhaps the most exciting news of

the week I think is Luke sky Walker is coming to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge once

again they are changing the timeline but not because there won't be cross

over like I don't care it's kind of an interesting no I think it's brilliant because you can have as many stories as

you want then and if you've read any of the books you know that these different Generations during the Skywalker Saga

and Beyond there are connections with Batu like they did make

that part of their their bigger picture Story I mean it's the alderon and teal

wine and which I don't think they sell anymore I don't know Al must have run out it's been a while since that's sad

but um was a finite resource anyway what do you think about Luke coming to Galaxy's Edge the

maker oh my goodness so I have been a huge proponent or proponent what

of Galaxy Edge getting rid of the time lock because to me the time lock

actually was this like huge lack of creativity because there was just not as much to do and most people that want to

of the popularity of Mandalorian and gr grou like I think there's been in Ahsoka like there's new characters that have

come in that I think they thought the sequel characters would be as popular as

these characters are but the new ones really have in many regards created much

more fan well you think of um Hera you think of CH Chopper you think of Ahsoka

you think of Mando and grou those have been the breakout characters of galaxy Edge Ray I love you girl I mean she was

when it opened yeah like people were super excited to see her she was the bell of the ball but there was always

special to see is Han and chewy together in front of the Millennium Falcon Darth Vader would be great because if Darth

Vader was on that stage above the Millennium Falcon I think I'd run away really scared yeah it'd be terrifying I

they had more more things like that in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge that were free I agree cuz

I think this one is fair because you are walking away with a nice lightsaber and you're paying for the experience so it

makes sense kind of like with the um the Droid Depot yes like you're walking away with the droids you're paying for um

you're paying for one but um but you're getting that kind of I don't know it's

it's immersing you in the world in a way that uh walking around and playing with the app doesn't do or watching the shows

what you're experiencing in Rise resistance yeah um hyperspace mountains is returning there's a ton of

Thunderbolts trailer came out on Sunday during the Super Bowl and I will admit I

about um I also think like I think we're going to get three very different movies

this year um with Captain America Brave New World is going to be kind of I'm

hoping kind of like uh the second cap film where it's more of a thriller like a political thriller one of the best in

the MCU yes Winter Soldier love that and I do think bringing Harrison foran

is masterful like that's going to be great um I think it's also just going to

reset kind of that Avengers storyline for us and get it going and I'm hoping

because it's on Earth it's in Washington DC that kind of thing we're not going to walk away from it going like oh that was

a lot of digital effects because that's been one of my big complaints lately um then um I think uh

um Thunderbolts is is gonna kind of be that um you know Misfit movie fun a little
