ToonFest | DISNEY THIS DAY | August 26, 2006

On this day in 2006, the first-ever ToonFest was held to celebrate Disney’s “Toontown Online,” a massively multiplayer online game. The event took place at Walt Disney Studios in California and was attended by a sold-out crowd of 1,500 fans. Many guests dressed up as their “Toon” avatar. They participated in an in-game scavenger hunt, racing at Goofy’s Speedway, a costume contest, developer Q&A sessions, sneak peek panels, and an awards ceremony. Kyle Massey of ‘That’s So Raven’ was a special guest. A second ToonFest was held in Florida in 2007.
