Rowan Atkinson | DISNEY THIS DAY | January 6, 1955
On this day in 1955, actor, comedian, and writer Rowan Atkinson was born. Disney fans will know him as the voice of Zazu in 1994’s ‘The Lion King.’ Fans of British comedy will recall his numerous iconic characters including Mr. Bean, Blackadder, and Johnny English. By training, Atkinson is actually a scientist. He studied electrical engineering in college, earning a Master’s degree from Oxford. He was also awarded the CBE by Queen Elizabeth in 2013.
