The film was a reboot of the ‘Witch Mountain’ series from the 1970s, which included ‘Escape to Witch Mountain’ and ‘Return from Witch Mountain.’ Alexander Key wrote the original source novel in 1968. In this chapter, Dwayne Johnson stars as a cab driver who picks up two teenage aliens and must work with a disgraced UFO expert to return them to their spacecraft and protect them from villainous pursuers.
