On this day in 1988, the animated feature ‘Oliver & Company’ was released in theaters. It would be the 27th animated Disney film and an adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens tale, ‘Oliver Twist.’ In this version set in the 1980s, Oliver is a homeless kitten on the streets of New York City who joins Fagin’s band of dogs in order to survive.
