On this day in 1983, the first ever Night of Joy took place at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. It was a contemporary Christian music festival that became an annual tradition. Night of Joy featured popular artists from the Christian music genre, like Stephen Curtis Chapman, Newsboys, and Amy Grant. It would run until 2017!
