Welcome to Photo Next. I'm Mr. Daps and I'm Clocky. And we are excited because
0:42
Disneyland Handcrafted is now on Disney Plus, which means we can watch it over
0:47
and over and over and over and over again and then some more and see all of the amazing um
0:55
moments I guess is a good word to put that uh went into creating Disneyland
1:00
over 70 years ago. But uh we don't really do video on this podcast. We do
1:06
photos. So, we thought we would look at some photos from back in the day today
1:11
that shows how Disneyland was handcrafted and and we can appreciate
1:16
the handcrafting of that time period that Disneyland handcrafted covered. Say that fast 12
1:23
times. Um, before we get into all that though, Clocky, what should people do?
1:28
They should like, subscribe, tell your friends, share this on social media,
1:34
share this one that comes out. This will be a really fun episode that is going to look at details. These are photos. It's
1:40
funny. I have all these photos. These are photos that I didn't think we'd get around to. And here we are
1:46
what, 11, 12 episodes in and it's like, oh, we're doing this one now. So, I think this is actually number 14.
1:52
14. Yeah. Time flies. Shocking, right? So, this is we're we're at the we're at
1:58
the seven month mark and uh keep chugging away. So, helping us by commenting, email emailing us if you
2:04
want us to look at certain photos. We we we do these episodes on a regular basis,
2:09
but we can always put in a new episode. So, these are these are evergreen and really fun to do. And and really,
2:15
there's no limit to what they could be. Like, this episode literally came out of me being excited about Disneyland
2:22
Handcrafted and then us going into a crazy conversation of like, well, how do we do something that that highlights
2:28
Disneyland Handcrafted? And so then we get to look at these pictures that Clocky thought we would never use. And
2:35
also you never know. My also favorite is getting a text saying, "Do you have photos like this?"
2:41
And I with the lull and I go, "Of course I do. Let's let's look at some photos." Well, sometimes I don't know if my
2:47
questions are a little bit out there. And you know, I come up with random ideas at times and I have been told no
2:53
in the past. So, uh, thankfully your collection is as wide as my imagination
3:00
is deep. There you go. Should we look at some pictures? Let's look at some pictures. All right. What do we got?
3:06
We're going to zoom in. And if you're wondering, yes, this is Disneyland.
3:13
Is that a bird? It's a bird on a flower, man. And I I can't remember what two
3:22
buildings this is, but once you see it in the park, you don't forget. It's going to pop out.
3:28
Interesting. It cuz again, we're going to talk about details in this episode. We have a bird sitting on a on a flower in a planter
3:34
next to a window and next to two buildings that are conjoined with a centerpiece. And this is a black and
3:41
white photo, so we have a darker color and a lighter color on each wall. And
3:46
that is this first photo. And it's it's a great And am I guessing this is Main Street?
3:52
Main Street, USA. Let's see if I can find the hard part is you when you start
3:58
doing the photo and photos that what I'll do with these that this becomes really obscure because you guys go, it
4:04
was it was somewhere. I want to say it's near Market House. So here's this. I'll tell you where my
4:10
guess was and and you can tell me I'm completely wrong. To me, this looks like it's back in that corner, like when you
4:18
walk into the street next to Market House between that and
4:23
Clotheers. And remember how there used to be that ice cream stand in the very back,
4:29
right? If if you're facing the ice cream stand and you look to the left and I
4:34
think it's a Was there like a cast door or something there to the left of the
4:40
lockers? To the left of the corner. So, yeah. Well, there that's because that's all
4:46
the the fake main street shops of like the dentist and all that kind of stuff. So,
4:51
so to me it's in that back corner that I could be 100% wrong though.
4:57
It is definitely in that area. Let me see if I can got my
5:02
handy dandy. The good news is is when I search Google images for the word thumb,
5:08
it's always me holding a photo or a postcard. Oh, there you go. So, you've done this
5:15
on sent from Disneyland where you've held up the the photo and in the wider
5:20
Yeah, I may not have posted it yet. I I definitely have more in my collection
5:26
that I have posted in the real world, but I do know I hit this one cuz this
5:32
one was a challenge cuz you really had to walk up and down Main Street to
5:37
figure out where it Yeah. to find it. I mean, now I feel like I want to go
5:42
there, even though I think my next visit is at night,
5:48
which makes it even harder. Huh? Where am I going to find that bird at night? Come on.
5:55
Precisely. Hang on. And I know this is designed
6:01
because this is from a collection of photos that I got. Uh, in fact, the next photo is from the same one. It's on a
6:06
weird card stock paper and it's this. It's the next photo we have plus a New
6:12
Orleans Square photo plus another New Orleans Square photo and then something else and it's all from the same all from
6:19
the same uh purchase that I made. Do you know when they were from
6:26
based on most of the photos? I would say probably late 60s, early 70s. It's hard
6:33
because there's hardly any photos of people in them. So, it becomes a challenge there. Let's
6:39
go. And they weren't labeled or anything. They weren't labeled. I don't think they were labeled. Yeah.
6:45
Okay. So, let's move on to the next one while I'm searching for the exact location. But the next one is
6:51
Oh, I love this. This one's easy, but yeah, it is the space between the firehouse
6:57
and the city hall. And just when we talk about some small detail and some uh
7:03
ornate Mhm. construction and
7:09
you look at this and you realize that was probably hand carved
7:16
and and people really spent hours if not days on that center
7:22
circle thing. Um assuming it hasn't been replaced by this point, but I would doubt it. Uh maybe today, 70 years later
7:30
or 60 years later, whatever it's been, uh it's been replaced by something that was molded or something. But uh watching
7:36
Disneyland Hcraft and and as I'm thinking about the uh pirate ships, watching them mold the the details on
7:44
the pirate ships for Peter Pan, uh this looks very much like something they would have done in the same manner back
7:51
then. And uh it's kind of crazy to think of somebody putting that much effort into something
7:59
that's basically a fancy entrance to a restroom.
8:05
Well, and actually even before before it was a it may have not even have been a restroom originally.
8:12
It may have just been in between. There was a restroom in that area. So that could it could have still been that. But yeah, it's a it's a
8:18
I was just going by the rule of thumb that restrooms never move at Disneyland. Um true.
8:23
They they get added but not subtracted. Yes, exactly. U but then you also look
8:28
at those little um I don't know what those things are that stand up like that point up. They're just ornate
8:36
decorations. The Yeah, the ornate. This is when we should have had someone who is an architecture major. Oh, that's
8:42
this or into woodworking or all that. Like all of that stuff was, if not
8:47
handcarved, hand painted. And that's just not a fun job. And then you
8:53
look at the the accent lines in the front there, too. Like that's not something you can just go through and
9:01
poof. Like that's hand painted, handcarved, um, installed by hand. Even the the
9:08
posts at the front, like you think of of the detail there, that's insane. I mean,
9:13
they had they had a template for this, but they made the template and then had to carve everyone out.
9:20
Yeah. There there wasn't the the robotics that could do stuff like that today in 2 seconds. Uh did you take um
9:27
like uh woodworking class in in high school? I took a woodworking class
9:32
woodworking shop or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. There was there was an elective in middle school that you you did some
9:38
woodworking, but nothing we weren't making, you know, circles or or even the
9:44
vent here, which maybe vent to the bathroom could be. Who knows?
9:49
Possible actually now that you mention it. Um and and just think you could have maybe seen Walt hanging out up there
9:56
too, right? Yeah, because we can see the door to the uh to the apartment. Yeah,
10:02
that is really cool. This one's pretty wild. Yeah. And and it's a really random photo from that collection that's just like,
10:08
yeah, they just took pictures of what they thought was pretty and this is pretty nice.
10:14
It makes you wonder about the person who was taking these pictures. Like what was the motivation or what was what caught
10:19
their eye? All right, the next photo here. And we get a close-up of Sleeping Beauty
10:25
Castle. So similar yet so different, right?
10:32
This one we know is pre66 because there's no code of arms above the ent above the drawbridge. But
10:40
we see all the again little details. We see the the spire that is inspired by
10:47
notam. Mhm. All the the turrets and the just the
10:54
crosses in between for archers. Dangerous place
10:59
and exactly. And as we see in uh you know, you got to protect it. Um and as
11:05
we see in Disneyland handcrafted, they had to make all of those things to look like they were bricks by hand. Like
11:12
that's not a stamp. That was a guy with a tool and a brush that was making it
11:18
look and feel correctly and in the right colors and stuff. And that to me looked
11:24
like one of the most tedious. Like there's probably what a couple hundred
11:30
bricks we can see right here or or stones, maybe more. Each one was handmade.
11:38
That blows my mind. And plus the knowing where to start shifting into
11:45
larger bricks or smaller bricks based on, you know, the force perspective for the perspective.
11:50
Good point. I mean, hard harder to see in this one because we're looking at such a small section of the castle, but when you look at the full castle, you're
11:58
you're going to see the difference in size as it goes up. You can see you can see it here,
12:04
especially in the middle, too. And and to get the circle part right
12:09
over the arch, like that's that looks really hard,
12:15
huh? It's also interesting now knowing how they put the turrets and
12:21
and the tops on like we don't see this as much in this photo, but just
12:26
recognizing the amount of effort and risk that was involved is as people are
12:32
basically just hanging it into place and and lowering it down and not having all
12:38
of the scaffolding that we would expect on a project like this today. It's like, oh, we're just I mean, it's very much
12:44
how when I was a kid, you would build a tree fort or or or you know, like a cabin out in the woods if you had woods
12:52
and you just did it. You didn't you didn't need all of the the redundancy and the safety measures. You're just
12:58
like, "Oh, we'll just we'll just put it on top of each other. It'll be fine. It's heavy enough." I actually feel like
13:05
Disneyland was built with a lot of people going like, "Yeah, it'll be fine.
13:13
All right, let's go to the next photo. And here we have a close.
13:19
I like this. I like this photo a lot. It's It's a very small photo in real life. And the just having the Mark Twain
13:26
on the river, people boarding the folding chairs that are out on the deck and then the the rod
13:33
iron. They look like those rental ones, right?
13:38
just the the rod iron there, which is just great. And I almost wish they'd
13:43
shot it like a couple inches lower because as I'm looking in the bottom right corner, the detail in the rod iron
13:50
there is super cool. Like it almost looks like a leaf or something. It maybe So this
13:56
would have been pre-orland square, especially based on the tree growth that we can see. But that would have been the
14:02
kind of the New Orleans section of Frontier Land. So, I bet those are flur.
14:07
That would make sense. Mhm. That's such a weird thought to think of.
14:14
It's also weird to see it so empty. Oh, yeah. Like, that's actually very actually. Is
14:22
there a uh bridge or something going out to it? Right. That's at its That's at
14:28
the dock. That's at the dock. Yeah. Okay. I thought we were further over when you first said okay that makes more
14:34
sense and people are getting off the boat it looks like
14:41
and then at least two people are at least two people are private cruise um I like that they have
14:47
the bunting on it and the bunting is different back then than what we would see now right I was just thinking about
14:53
that with the bunting is I I bet you could date the Mark Twain by the bunting
14:59
Mhm. I also like that it's not over the top, but it's there, right?
15:06
It probably also says it's in the summer cuz didn't they used to put the the
15:13
patriotic bunting in like June and July? Probably.
15:19
The other thing I noticed on this, because I've noticed it when I've done photo with the Mark Twain, is pay
15:26
attention to where the staircases are because the staircases definitely move sometime that I think you and I have
15:32
both discussed likely probably around Fantasmic. So around the early 90s, but always curious to keep an eye out to
15:39
see are they where they are or are they where they were.
15:44
When did they change? These are the random things we think about. I mean, it's it's like right now there's a lot
15:50
of changes happening at Disneyland. And a conversation I literally was having today was about a tree and if it was or
15:57
wasn't there before and where did it go? Right. Was it Was it removed? Was it replaced?
16:05
Was it removed from Downtown Disney? Oh, wow. Well, by salt by salt and straw
16:11
and and someday people will go back and be like, "Oh, you're wrong." Or, "Oh, you're right." And we've just now made a
16:16
historical moment for future photos without the photo without the photo. Right.
16:22
It is interesting seeing also the trees in the background. I mean, it's not as detailed stuff, but it is uh
16:27
that's just a very different feel for the dock than we have today. I also
16:32
would love to see the kids that play on the fences today play with this fence. Um,
16:38
yeah, actually, which is which is strange because this this would have just been around this section because older photos
16:44
of the river, there was nothing between the river and guests. That's where I was
16:51
confused when I first saw the photo is is it didn't track with me at all. There
16:56
was some around the dock, but that's about that's about the extent of it. H
17:02
So, I wonder where that ended up because now it's just the flat very kind of basic
17:07
Hey, you think you can see through for they would renew they would have reused it for something you like somewhere
17:14
else, but you would hope. Yeah. Oh, something to keep an eye out next time.
17:19
Mhm. All right, the next photo.
17:25
There is a handcrafted horse. There is a cardigan. Sorry.
17:34
That's a beautiful horse. It's interesting the colors because I feel like they're different than they
17:39
are now. Yeah. So, this in fact I can tell you based on this detail here of the eagle. This is one of like the
17:46
flying eagle or one of the named horses that has the the two eagle saddle back.
17:54
And back when the horses were all different colors. So, this is we're looking now at a black horse with gray hair and or with with a gray mane and
18:02
then the green It almost feels more
18:10
Arthuri in this way, if that's a word. Like it it it
18:15
almost draws you into the King Arthur story more, having different colored horses, just looking at this very
18:20
briefly. Um, it's also amazing to think these are probably some of the oldest
18:27
elements in the park, if I'm correct. Mhm.
18:33
I do remember what year this was originally built, but because wasn't it brought in? It was It was brought in and
18:40
all the horses because I I know I've done an episode of Sent from Disneyland based on the horses and I've
18:46
fun fact, I've ridden all of them. So, one of my challenges one time when I was going to the park, I was like, yeah,
18:52
it was they said, "Hey, pick your favorite horse." And I go, "How can I pick my favorite if I haven't ridden
18:57
them all?" So, I systematically went through and rode every horse I could
19:04
that was on because they have about two or three rows that will cycle out when they need to do reverbs.
19:10
Mhm. Let's see.
19:19
It really is beautiful though when you look at it and and I think the details come to life even more with the the
19:25
multicolored horse. whereas sometimes they get a little bit lost when it's white on white, you know,
19:32
that that right. Um, they're very elegant and they're pretty currently, but I do think there's something to be
19:38
said for this. And on the flip side, you know, Jingles pops out a whole lot more, I'm sure, now with the current paint job
19:45
than uh back in the day. So, this horse is Avanti.
19:51
And if you want to know the difference of it now, obviously a white horse, white mane,
19:58
the the bridal here is blue with some fill. This is blue with fill. This is
20:05
now like a mustard yellow, a dark mustard yellow. This is the the blanket
20:10
here is yellow with a looks like a a reddish pink trim.
20:17
And then the eagles are painted the actual eagle color. And then this is all all blue.
20:23
Interesting. But it has the ring.
20:28
And at the time these were only what 70 years old,
20:34
right? The from the handful of carousels that they got. Yeah. So they were late
20:39
1800s and and you think now they're 30 years old. Like that's crazy.
20:48
And still getting beat up by kids. Yeah, that would be an interesting behind
20:54
thescenes video is to see how they maintain these horses that are really
21:00
some of the oldest things in the park. Yeah. Like, and how many of them are actually still
21:06
out there and how many are are now complete like that might be completely fiberglass now, right?
21:15
Okay, let's go to the next photo.
21:22
I've got a handful of photos of Skull Rock. This was, I think, the best head-on that shows enough detail, but
21:28
this is the old Skull Rock where you can walk back.
21:34
Yeah. And it looks like they they took, you know, a a drawing and just brought
21:40
it to life. This would have been so fun to design, I
21:46
feel like. And all of five waters, six waterfalls.
21:51
I mean, there's one one slash two over here kind of two
21:56
over here, two coming out of the M. I mean, yeah. Okay. Yeah. We'll count as Yeah, this this one that goes into
22:03
another waterfall. But I love the energy that brings to the area and just the thought that like how
22:11
could we make this rock seem somewhat natural but also look like a skull and
22:16
then somebody has to sculpt it and somebody has to make sure it doesn't leak,
22:22
right? Like that's that's amazing. And this came in after
22:29
the park opened. So, this wasn't an opening day feature, but
22:35
they definitely learned better. No, of course not. Because it it shows the detail in the handcraft to keep going.
22:41
I think they also learned a lot from doing the jungle cruise to doing water features like this.
22:47
Yeah. You know how much love cement
22:53
so much. That's gorgeous. That one could almost
22:58
be printable. Yeah, th this one may be one of my larger like 8 by10 photos.
23:06
That's very cool. Have you done the thing where you you take it into the park and take the picture of where this
23:13
was and what is there now? I have. The hard part on this is basically this. We're looking at where Dumbo is.
23:19
This is the queue for Dumbo. The the only thing that really remains is some rock over here and that's about it.
23:25
Behind behind Monstro, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, cuz you don't What's weird about
23:31
this is Monstro is just over here. Can't miss him. Yeah, but when you see a photo,
23:38
great. When you see this photo, you don't see continuation of the story. I love it. Like to me, in some ways, as much as I
23:46
love I guess it'd be new fantasy land for Disneyland in some ways now that's
23:51
what 40ome 40 years old, 43. Um, but it's interesting to look at
23:58
this and think I think they nailed the courtyard side of Fantasy Land,
24:04
but I like this half of of Fantasy Land better than what we have currently. Yeah, I think it it's a challenge
24:12
because they were they did they did some amazing upgrades to Toad Hall.
24:17
Peter Pan looks great. The whole area Snow White amazing. And then removing this was likely going to
24:25
move cuz they were going to try to move the pirate ship. And this, wouldn't they? Yeah.
24:31
Yeah. They're going to move it to clo closer to Small World. But
24:37
honestly, we we Yes, we're getting Bluey soon, but I would prefer stuff like this than uh
24:45
the non-shows that we don't have anymore at Fantasy Land Theater, right? Like with that space. Um, just because I
24:51
think this spurs on the imagination so much. Like Disneyland Paris basically has the modern equivalent of this,
24:56
right? And it is such a magical area to walk around and take pictures and see kids
25:02
running around with literally with Peter Pan and Captain Hook and and you know,
25:07
it's it's a magical thing. And I'm glad we have pictures like this that show what it once was. Um,
25:15
but you also think of what could be. Yeah. Other detail on this one. It probably will never be. Go ahead. Sorry.
25:22
Other detail. That's a garbage can. These are guests, but that's a garbage can. It is a garbage. Is it really? I can't tell, but I believe you.
25:29
It It It's hard. You have to This is one of those things you have to know about the garbage cans is that they were black and white or black and red striped
25:35
garbage cans over here. So, that is some old timey. And then first of
25:43
We have the Casey Jr. going up the hill, which is wild how much you could see of
25:48
that attraction cuz that's the quilt. Okay. Wow.
25:54
That's very cool. All right. Speaking of Casey Jr., there is the front of that.
26:00
So again, the detail. The nice thing about this, you can see his whole face
26:06
plus all the rock detail. Again, the the time this this may may have been more of
26:12
a of a stamp situation since they didn't have to change sizes, but the coloring
26:17
is is unique. Well, and it's it's interesting though is you still had to design it. You still
26:24
had to put it together. You still had to do all of this stuff and and then um you still had to keep it on the track.
26:32
Uh but uh this is this is interesting.
26:39
I also love how they really bring the story, you know, the Dumbo story to life
26:44
with something as simple as a Casey Jr. train that you go on a ride in a circus train and nobody questions it. It feels
26:51
right. You know the song, right? And uh and it really makes almost a
26:56
Dumbo minand today with with Dumbo right next to it. But
27:03
yeah, individual painting, the little smile on on Casey's face, the hat that's
27:08
made up of the light. Just amazing detail on this. Oh, yeah. Brilliant.
27:15
Even the almost like arms that are holding Yeah. holding off to the side
27:20
or pulling the rest of the rest of the train. Yeah. Love it. All right. I think this
27:27
may be This is our last photo, but I thought since we talked about constructing Disneyland, here is
27:33
construction around Disneyland. I would assume that this was when Chicken of the
27:39
Sea left and this just became Captain Hook's Galley. So, they're repainting and getting getting rid of all the
27:46
Chicken of the Sea branding. Yeah. which I just did an episode on this because there's on the back side of of
27:52
this part of the ship, the back side of the back side of the ship, they they changed the mermaid to try to
28:00
look different, but like as best they could, so it wouldn't look like the one that was the icon. Yeah, that makes sense. It was all
28:07
handarved and it was carved in there and they weren't going to just like demolish it. So, they just give it as much of a
28:13
different color as you possibly can. That makes sense. Yeah. I I love this perspective of it, too. And it it tells
28:20
me two things. Um, one, some things never change at Disneyland. Like, how
28:26
often do you see them putting up scaffolding to repaint something, to
28:32
change the color scheme, to fix something? You know, Mark Twain just underwent a fiveday uh I think it was
28:40
five day refurbishment where we got the the decks and the handrails all re re uh
28:47
varnished, I guess. I don't know what it's called. And and those things were happening back then. They're happening
28:52
today. The other thing I'm noticing though that's very different is if that were today, there would also be scrims
28:59
around. Yeah. You couldn't see. You started mentioning that. And I was like, and the difference now is they would have printed scrims that look
29:04
exactly like the ship all the way around it. But look at the detail in the ship, too.
29:10
Like somebody built that. And yeah, and and like just looking at that, my
29:16
imagination takes off. And and you think of Peter Pan or Pirates of the
29:21
Caribbean. Like it kind of reminds me of uh The Dauntless. Dauntless. Is that the
29:26
little one from No, the Dauntless is the big one. What's the little one? um Interceptor.
29:31
The the Interceptor. I was like, I know the real name is a Lady Washington,
29:37
but like it has that feel and you could totally imagine this going out to sea and um I love the attention to detail
29:47
and realism that you know, especially as a kid, I would have been all over that.
29:52
Well, it the the adding that what you didn't need the all of these ropes
29:58
aren't required, but they're there to make it look more authentic. The even even this front part of the ship that
30:04
was not for guests. This was just a front part of a ship. No, no, no one used it. Could have just been blank.
30:10
Could have just been painted on, but there's an actual, you know, thought and and handcarved and, you know, just
30:19
work put into it. That's that's really the difference I feel like between Disneyland and other theme parks is
30:26
we've been to those other theme parks that might have some sort of a ship and it's just a blank wall in the areas that
30:32
aren't as visible. And I like that they go the extra mile for stuff like this.
30:37
Even having the flags as you're scrolling up like that's great.
30:44
So yeah, I I assume based on this photo and that this isn't the deconstruction of the attraction, but the actual
30:51
repainting of the of the to get rid of Chicken of the Sea. And if you know,
30:58
like if this is something that you're watching this and you're you're like, "Oh, I know when that is, let us know." like we love to learn more and we love
31:04
to be corrected because uh that just makes this that much more interesting because
31:10
we'll pull the picture back out and and update it in a future episode if we learn things because yeah they've
31:16
already changed the cabinet hooks galley here but I don't see it here yet. So
31:22
work start at the top and work your way down. The other interesting thing, this isn't necessarily a detail thing, but if
31:29
you scroll in kind of where the uh crow's nests are and you look in the background, how much
31:35
different the foliage is then versus now. Like, it's kind of fun to see.
31:41
H All right, those are our photos for today. A little bit more than five since
31:47
we were looking at a lot of detail, but which one was your favorite?
31:52
This is a hard one. This is harder than I thought it was going to be because I saw one as we were going through and I'm
31:58
like, "Oh, that's definitely it." And then you brought two more that I'm like, "Oh, those equally could be my favorites
32:05
as well." Um, I'm narrowing it down actually both to Peter Panthemed ones at the moment. So, either the skull rock or
32:14
the pirate ship. And I think
32:21
uh I think I'm gonna go with the pirate ship just because there is something about that that spurs
32:28
on my imagination a tiny bit more than the skull rock.
32:34
And and in I think at the end of the day, one of the things that Disney does so well with its stories is uh
32:40
enlightening our imagination and getting us to uh dream and think about things that we wouldn't normally think. So uh
32:46
I'm going to go with the ship and I will go with Skull Rock because this would make a great movie. I'm glad you did.
32:52
It really would. I' I've always toyed with and we we've even talked about it, but we didn't get
32:57
around to it this year. Maybe maybe or last year, maybe this year is this. This is a great photo for a calendar.
33:05
It there's just let's start a a folder. Start a That's a good idea.
33:11
And then you let us know in the comments if you like the idea of a calendar because we won't put in a ton of work if nobody wants it besides us because then
33:18
we'll just put in a little bit of work that's just for us. But honestly, I can imagine that that is
33:24
one I could see. Um, I would probably play with it a little bit in in Photoshop and try to, you know, make the
33:30
the sky a little bit more because I bet there's actually some residual uh color in the sky
33:36
possibly. Um, and sometimes playing with the highlights and shadows, you can find some more. But, uh, that would be a
33:42
really fun one to print out one way or the other. And, uh, like that's that's a
33:47
good shot from a moment in time. Yeah. And like I said, I the things that I collect, this is one of them. Whenever
33:53
I see the skull rock and it's a good image, I go, "Yeah, I I could use another one of those." Well, yeah, I
34:01
could totally see that. See, that's not letting me play with Oh, that's bright. Do you have highlights and shadows? Oh,
34:07
yeah. Down there. Highlights and shadows. So, I would take highlights down.
34:15
Oh, it's not doesn't have as much. And then shadows up a little bit. But it doesn't have quite the Yeah. Yeah.
34:22
But there is You can see there's people walking now. Oh yeah. There we go. And I can see the
34:28
garbage can now. Okay. There we go. That's easier to see. Yeah. Very interesting. Good choice though. Uh
34:34
these are these are very fun photos. And uh I think we've reached the end of
34:40
this episode. number 14, which is not as exciting as number nine, but uh
34:46
I guess uh if if you've enjoyed this, please let us know, whether it's through a comment or through rating us on Apple
34:53
Podcast or wherever you're watching this, cuz all of that helps. Spotify, you know, we we send it to all of them.
35:00
What else do we need to do? I always forget this part. If you want to send us photos to look
35:05
at, we'll look at those. If you do that, if you like what we do here in general,
35:12
uh that's Mr. Daps. He has his own stuff. I'm Clocky. I've got my own stuff. Uh but uh this is a fun collab.
35:19
Uh I know we again looking to the future because we we can actually look at least to the next episode. Um some fun we'll
35:27
either we'll call them then and then or before and after photos of the park. So,
35:33
I've got a couple of photos before and before. Before and before. Before the before. No, before after the before. And uh
35:40
that's definitely the next episode and and hopefully some more. Uh I know we talked about trash cans. Thinking about
35:46
doing a trash can episode and I think that would be a lot of fun. I wonder if there's a national trash can.
35:51
Oo, we need to look that up. That would be very fun. It's too much fun. That is true. Uh be sure to follow
35:58
Clocky. It's sent for Disneyland. Sent from Disneyland speak. And you can find me and all the DAPS Magic stuff. Also,
36:05
perhaps most importantly, follow the both of us on the Photoix podcast
36:11
Instagram handle because you can find some fantastic photos that get posted there that are directly related,
36:18
sometimes indirectly related to these episodes. And uh that's actually probably the best way to connect with us
36:24
as well. So uh make sure to check that out as well. But hope you're having a fantastic photo day. Hope you're
36:31
enjoying looking at photos with us because we sure enjoy looking at them with you. And uh we look forward to
36:36
doing some more of this in the near future. Yep. Take it easy.
