Darby O'Gil and the Little People - DISNEY THIS DAY - June 26, 1959
On this day in 1959, the St. Patrick's Day classic Darby O’Gill and the Little People was released in theaters. Set in Ireland, the film follows wily Darby O’Gill as he matches wits with the King of the Leprechauns. Most of the film was actually shot at Disney’s ranch in Burbank, California. Matte paintings and second-unit footage from Ireland help to set the scene. Want More Disney news and videos?
